MANGA HOT NUMBERS
by BZZ soft '94
HOW TO PLAY
MHN is a simple puzzle game which can be played against a
human opponent or the computer. The aim is to progressively
discover a picture that lurks behind a matrix build up by
numbers ranging from -11 to 11; the matrix can be either
8*10 or 16*20.
You can decide to play horizzontally or vertically; since
vertically there are more numbers, this would give you a
little advantage.
Every time you select a number from the matrix, it is added
or subctracted to you score; note that if there are, for
example, three '11' in a row (or in a column, if you are
playing vertically) and you select one of them, the score
is increased by 33, or decreased, if the number is negative.
When there are no more numbers, or no more legal moves, if
your score is higher then your opponent's score, the
picture is displayed in all its glory, and the next picture
is loaded, otherwise you are given the option to retray with
the same picture if you total score (number of rounds won)
is equal or greater than your opponent's total score. If
not, you can restart with the first picture or quit the
game.
All this may sound to you not particularly original, but
some time ago I got some Manga pics from a friend (thanks,
Alex!) and I did'n know what to do with them, until I seen a
game which used the same method to display some girls
apparently allergic to dresses (don't worry, these pics are
quite on the innocent side).
